Guy's Triple-Double Headlines Win Over PG
NORTH EAST - Freshman Jaiden Guy finished with the first triple-double of his career, as the Cecil Seahawks defeated the Prince George's Owls, 106-86.
Guy would end the night with 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. The frosh guard split his boards and dimes evenly over the two halves. Guy earned his triple-double on a dish to Mikhail Falko with 3:31 left in the contest.
As a team, Cecil put together its strongest offensive performance for the season. The Seahawks finished with a 59% mark from the floor, a 54.5% clip from three, and a season high 24 assists. Along with Guy, five additional Cecil players reached double figures in points.
The win promotes the Seahawks to a 7-19 record on the season.
Turning Point
Cecil reeled off 10 straight points midway through the second to grow its advantage from 11 to 21. After an Owls free throw snapped the run, the Seahawks came right back down the floor and took a 22-point lead with a layup from Deuce Bevins.
