Cardinals Snap Losing Streak with Wild Win over PG

CCBC Catonsville's men's basketball team ended a four-game losing streak on Friday, defeating Prince George's Community College 112-106.

The Cardinals (9-5, 3-2) set a new season record for points scored as six players scored in double-digits. It was just enough to slip past the region-leading Owls.

Catonsville's offense shot 60% from the floor and 78% from the free-throw line. The defense snatched 37 rebounds and 13 steals to slow down a powerful Prince George's offense.

Sophomore guard Jo-Nathan Kelly (Strawberry Mansion) set a new career-high in points with 32 and a perfect 16 out of 16 at the free-throw line. Freshman guard Sean Clark (Mount St. Joseph) set a new career high as well with 20 points. Sophomore guard Jamal Lee (Cristo Jesuit) dropped 17 points and six rebounds off the bench, while sophomore forward Albright Obode (Plainfield) knocked down a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Freshman guard Lance Porter (Randallstown) had his third consecutive ten-point contest, while freshman guard Isaiah Thomas (Manchester) tied a season-high with ten points.

Friday's victory was the final game for the Cardinals before winter break. Next up is a January match with Raritan Valley!
