The Cardinals Take Care of Business in their Win over Prince George's Community College

Catonsville, MD – The CCBC Catonsville Cardinals continued their hot streak with a win against Prince George's Community College last Friday night. After trailing by three in the first half, the Cardinals rallied and eventually pulled away from the Owls, outscoring them by 12 points in the second half.

The story of the game was the performance by Micah Morgan for the Cardinals. Morgan played a very impactful 27 minutes off the bench, scoring 23 points on a perfect 7-7 from the field. He also racked up six assists and four rebounds to round out the performance.

The Cardinals also received a clutch performance from Cameron Sampson. Sampson recorded 13 points in just 19 minutes, while going 3-4 from three-point range. His last three of the game was the dagger that put away the Owls. With just over a minute to play, Sampson drilled a contested three to put the Cardinals ahead by eight.

Prince George's Community College kept it close for the majority of this game thanks to their work on the offensive glass. They recorded 15 offensive rebounds, compared to just six for CCBC Catonsville. Manuel Coronado had eight offensive rebounds by himself. The second chance points were the main reason why the Owls stayed in the game.

Along with Coronado, Casheus Covington was the biggest offensive contributor for the Owls. He finished with 17 points and six assists in 33 minutes of play.

It was yet another solid win for the Cardinals, bringing their record to 12-7 on the season. As for Prince George's Community College, they lost their fourth straight game, bringing their record below .500 to 8-9 on the season.
