All eyes on Cecil after splitting with PG

The Lions split a wednesday double header with the Prince George's Community College Fighting Owls losing 13-8 and winning 13-6.

Game one started off rough for the Lions with the Fighting Owls scoring 5 unearned runs in the bottom of the first. In the top of the second the Lions were able to get bases loaded with one out on the board. Sami Khan hit an RBI single to score a runner and keep the bases loaded but PG was able to get out of the bases loaded situation only giving up the lone run. The order came back around for the Lions in the top of the third and they were able to score 3 runs off of 4 hits and an error to be down 6-4. PG would go up 13-4 over the next 3 innings as the Lions bats went cold. But the game was not over as the Lions were able to get bases loaded with no outs, they would score 4 but ultimately fall short in the 13-8 loss.

Game 2 opened up in the top of the second as the Lions were able to get 7 runs off just 3 hits. Doyle McNew would hit a solo shot in the 4th to give the Lions an 8-0 lead. The Lions would go on to win 13-6. Hunter Wright was dealing, striking out 9 over 4 innings.
