In the top of the first inning the Cardinals gave up three runs, while the Cardinals added one run in the bottom of the first from a wild pitch from the Owls scoring Angelo Ramirez (Atlanta, GA) from third base.

In the second inning, the Cardinals traded spots scoring three runs to one run from the Owls. Christian Figueroa (North Arlington, NJ) started off the inning by singling to right field. Soon after Orlando Perez Jr. (Ocoee, FL), hit a shot in the gap to right center field resulting in a double, and scoring Figueroa. Later in the inning Alex Elliot (Clarksville, MD) reached first on a fielder's choice scoring Perez. Next batter Tony D'Angeli (Columbia, MD) singled to right center field scoring Roman March (Baltimore, MD). This would even the score making it 4-4 at the end of the second inning.

In the third inning, the Cardinals were able to add another run to their score when Noah Deluca (Odenton, MD) singled to left center advancing Figueroa from third base. In the bottom of the fourth inning the Cardinals added yet another run when Lexies Calderon (Kissimmee, FL) hit a double into right field scoring Pete Howell (Maitland, FL) from first base. The Owls were able to put up three runs in the top of the fifth inning to take the lead 7-6. The Cardinals did not score again until the seventh inning when they added a few more runs to their lead. The bases were loaded and Perez Jr reached first on an error by the Owls first basemen scoring Caleb Bailey (Severn, MD) from third. Again, with the bases loaded and Roman March up to bat who hit a groundout to the second basemen was able to drive in Figueroa from third base. Elliot was up to bat when he hit a sacrifice fly to right field scoring Deluca from third base. Next up D'Angeli reached first on another error, this time from the third basemen. Perez Jr was able to score from third on this error making the score 10-7 in the bottom of the seventh yet again taking the lead away from the Owls.

In the bottom of the eighth inning the Cardinals added a few more runs putting a little more cushion between themselves and the Owls. Figueroa started off the inning smacking a double to center field. The Owls threw a wild pitch which advanced Figueroa to third base. Next up, Deluca hit a sacrifice fly to the center fielder scoring Figueroa from third base. Immediately after that Perez Jr hit a shot way over the fence homering to left field. This would make the score 12-7. The Cardinals would only need three more outs to finish the game and come away with the win. In the top of the ninth the Owls had something to say about that scoring three runs one being a two-run home run, while the other run came from a wild pitch. The Cardinals finished the game coming away with the win 12-10.
