Woods, Seahawks Shut Down Owls

NORTH EAST - Freshman lefty Chris Woods one-hit the Prince George's Owls, headlining Cecil College baseball's 13-0 shutout victory over the Prince George's Owls.
Woods (1-2) struck out seven Owls while giving up only one walk and one single. Three Cecil fielding errors allowed for additional PG baserunners, but Woods navigated his way through it all.
Cecil's offense struck for 10 hits, five of which went for extra bases. Hunter Sipel and Andrew Baldini homered during the affair, while three additional Seahawks recorded doubles. Baldini and Gio Malatesta led with two hits each.
After the win, Cecil jumps to 15-12 on the season.
