Red Barons Win Season Opener in Extras
SUNY Corning Community College snatched the lead in the top of the 10th in their 4-3 victory over Prince George on Friday. 
 
Corning was the first to get on the board in the third when Sam Brocklebank doubled, scoring two runs. Prince George would add one in the third to cut the lead in half then again in the fourth and fifth to take a 3-2 heading into the sixth. Tristan Mancari doubled in the seventh to drive in a run to tie the game at three. The game would be knotted at three until Zack Nelson singled in the top of the tenth to give the Red Barons the lead. Dom Fabbri would get his first career save to secure the 4- 3 win for the Red Barons. 
 
Haden Abbott earned his first career win with only surrendering two hits and zero runs over five innings. Zack Nelson started on the hill for Corning. Nelson gave up five hits and two runs over four innings, while striking out three. 
   
The Red Barons tallied 10 hits with Anthony Esposito leading the Red Barons with three hits in five at bats. Brocklebank, Nelson, and Mancari each drove in one run for the Red Barons. Esposito also stole two bases with Rogers and Brocklebank each adding one with a total of four for the game. 
 
SUNY CCC plays Chesapeake College at 11 am on Sunday 03/10 at Salisbury University.
