The Prince George's Community College women's basketball team returned from a 16-day game hiatus surrounding Thanksgiving break to welcome Hagerstown Community College to Novak Field House on Wednesday evening, December 4th.

After a back-and-forth first half that sent the Owls into halftime down four, they pulled away with a 28-10 third quarter to enter the final frame up fourteen, 51-37. Hagerstown's Hawks outscored the Owls 14-10 in the final period but were unable to overcome the large deficit as Prince George's secured their fifth straight victory to open the season 5-0. The Owls are now 2-0 in Region 20 divisional matchups as well after previously defeating Anne Arundel.

Kalise Evans and Kryslynn Stewart finished as the team's leading scorers with 14 points apiece. Evans also dished out 5 assists to go along with her 4 steals and 3 rebounds on the evening while Stewart added 3 boards and 3 assists herself. Jai'Den Anderson finished with 10 points and 3 assists in her season debut.

The Owls pick back up on Friday, December 6th with another home game when they host Cecil College for a 5PM tip. Friday's matchup will be the first contest between the two programs since the 2019-20 season when Cecil defeated Prince George's, 80-72 in Largo.
