Prince George's Women's Basketball Drops Opening Game Of Patrick Henry Tournament

MARTINSVILLE, Va. – Prince George's Community College falls 89-50 to host Patrick Henry in the first day of the Patrick Henry Women's Basketball Tournament on Saturday.

Asisha Greene (Washington, D.C.) paced the Owls (1-1) with 23 points and 13 rebounds. The sophomore has registered double figures in points in every game she has played in her career and has registered 16 20-point performances. She has also registered 10+ rebounds in a game 10 times for 10 double-doubles in her career. Greene went 9-for-18 from the floor and 5-for-5 from the charity stripe while hauling in four offensive and nine defensive rebounds on the afternoon.

Gina Seifert (Owings, Md./Northern), who posted a career-high 25 points along with 12 rebounds in the 51-48 season-opening win against Cumberland County on Wednesday, added 16 points and 17 rebounds for her 12th career double-double and her eighth consecutive double-figure rebound regular season contest. Seifert picked up most of her points at the free throw line after making 10 of 15 from the line. 

Prince George's returns to action on Sunday against Guilford Technical at 11 a.m. in the final day of the Patrick Henry Tournament.
