Largo, MD. - The Owls women's basketball team is on a two game winning streak after beating Westmoreland by a score of 73-66. This was the Lady Owls second win of the season has they maintain a perfect 2-0 home record.
Coneisha Smith had the hot hand all game while being dominant on the boards. She scored timely baskets for her team and caused continuous matchup problems for Westmorland. Smith scored a game high 47pts and snatched 19 rebounds while Rashanda Chandler chipped in with 12pts. Brook Kalp and Chelsea Szakal had a good performance for Westmoreland scoring 21pts and 10 boards and 20pts and 16 boards respectively.
The Owls will travel on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 to battle Frederick another conference opponent. Tipoff is set for 5:00 PM.
