Andjalepou Wins 800m Run And Foday Takes 100m Dash To Lead Prince George's Track And Field At Bowie State Bulldog Classic

BOWIE, Md. – Christy-Morel Andjalepou (Washington, D.C./Cardozo Education Campus) and Mary Foday (District Heights, Md./Central) each won an individual event to pace the Prince George's track and field team at the Bowie State Bulldogs Classic on Saturday. Both teams finished third in the college team competition.

Andalepou won the 800m run with a time of 2:02.63 while Foday took first in the 100m dash with a time of 12.09. The men's 4x400m relay finished first with a time of 3:31.75, besting its mark from the Frostburg State Bobcat Invitational on April 1 by nearly eight seconds.

On the women's side, Ashley Wilson (White Plains, Md./Prince Anne) placed second in the triple jump (10.17m) and fourth in the long jump (4.12m). Hannah White (Bowie, Md./Charles Herbert Flowers) posted a third-place standing in the 200m (27.18) while Druex Collins (Washington, D.C./Woodrow Wilson) was fourth in the 100m (12.96).

Bowie State won the team competition on the women's side with a score of 135 while Lincoln (104) and Prince George's (29) also recorded points on the afternoon.

Edwin Brown III (Upper Marlboro, Md./Homeschooled) recorded a third-place standing in the 800m (2:07.96) while Ari Wilson (Clinton, Md./Charles Herbert Flowers) finished fifth in the 200m (22.91) and Baladji Diakite (Upper Marlboro, Md./Largo) placed seventh in the event (23.45).

Bowie State won the men's side with a score of 176 while Lincoln (114) and Prince George's (29) rounded out the college field.

Prince George's returns to action at the Captains Classic and Combined Events hosted by Christopher Newport on Apr. 14-15.
