Relays Power Prince George's Track And Field At Frostburg State Bobcat Invitational

FROSTBURG, Md. – The quartet of Druex Collins (Washington, D.C./Woodrow Wilson), Mary Foday (District Heights, Md./Central), Hannah White (Bowie, Md./Charles Herbert Flowers) and Ashley Wilson (White Plains, Md./Princess Anne) teamed up to win the 4x100m relay to pace the Prince George's Community College women's track and field team in its season opening competition at the Frostburg State Bobcat Invitational on Saturday.

The four women won the 4x100m relay with a time of 51.59 to win the event by 0.34 seconds over host Frostburg State. The quartet also finished second in the 4x400m relay with a time of 4:20.83.

Foday and Collins posted second-place standings on the afternoon. Foday placed second in the 100m dash with a time of 12.54 while Collins was second in the 200m dash with a time of 28.02. Nisheil Forbes (Largo, Md./Griswold Community) finished second in the long jump with a leap of 4.61m while Ashley Wilson placed third in the triple jump (9.89m) and sixth in the long jump (4.34m), and White placed fourth in the 100m dash (13.70).

On the men's side, Ari Wilson (Clinton, Md./Charles Herbert Flowers) and the 4x400m relay paced the Owls with third-place standings. Ari Wilson placed third in the 200m dash with a time of 23.18 while Wilson, Baladji Diakite (Upper Marlboro, Md./Largo), Tommy Hunt III (Fort Washington, Md./Oxon Hill) and Christy-Morel Andjalepou (Washington, D.C./Cardozo Education Campus) teamed up to finish third in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3.38.46. Diatkite posted a 10th-place standing in the 200m dash (24.14).

Prince George's returns to action at the Bowie State Classic on April 8. Events begins at 10 a.m.
