Prince George’s Hits the Road to Face Union County College

Prince George's men's soccer will look to bounce back from a disappointing loss to Howard when they travel to Kean University to face Union County College's Owls this Sunday, October 13th. The divisional matchup between the two Owls teams is the beginning of a tough stretch for Prince George's as they kick off their first of three games within six days with a road trip to New Jersey.

Prince George's (8-2-1, 7-2-1 in MD JUCO) has had some time to regroup since their last time out, allowing the squad to refocus as they approach the last weeks of the regular season. Freshman Nathan Asamoah who recorded the teams only goal and had another shot hit the post against Howard will look to remain hot versus Union. Union County (5-6-2, 4-3-1 in GSAC) won't have as much time to prepare as they face Middlesex County College a day before on Saturday, October 12th. The last time the two teams met was September 15th, 2018 when Prince George's hosted Union County which ended in a 4-0 win for Prince George's. A freshman Chris Garcia fired two shots on goal during the game, finding the back of the net once to help secure the Owls victory. Now a sophomore, Garcia will look to help produce the same result for his team.

Due to a cancellation of the match against Westmoreland County Community College originally scheduled for Saturday October 5th, this will be Prince George's first non-conference matchup since Thursday, August 29th when the Owls defeated NOVA 1-0 in their home opener. Sunday's match against Union is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
