Owls Suffer Conference Loss to Montgomery

Prince George's men's soccer suffered another loss Tuesday, October 15th after falling to conference opponent Montgomery 1-0 on the road. The loss marks the first time the Owls have been shut out this season.

The Raptors improve to 14-5-0, 10-2-0 while Prince George's falls to 9-3-1, 7-3-1 on the season. The lone goal of the contest came in the 15th minute of play when the Raptors were able to get past the Owls defense to go up 1-0. While the Owls created plenty of opportunities, they were unable to produce a goal to even the score. Prince George's fired off six shots throughout the game, three of which were on goal while also adding five corner kicks but the Montgomery defense held strong against the attacks. Down the stretch sophomore Temilolu Idowu had a chance to tie the game with a shot in the 87th minute but it was sent wide.

Up next for the Owls is a home match against Camden County College on Saturday, October 19th. The Owls will look to regain some momentum before finishing off the regular season against conference rival Anne Arundel at home on Tuesday, October 22nd. Saturday's matchup is set to begin at 12 p.m.
