Divisional Shootout as Howard Travels to Prince George’s

Prince George's men's soccer will host Howard tomorrow, October 8th for a divisional showdown. Prince George's is undefeated at home this season and looking for their first win against Howard since October 14th, 2016.

The matchup will be a battle as both teams strengths are on opposite sides of the ball. Howard's Dragons (7-6, 5-4) enter the game averaging 4 goals scored per contest while the Owls (8-1-1, 7-1-1) are allowing an average of only .78 goals surrendered per contest. The Owls defense will look to slow the Dragons high powered offense to transition on their own offensive attack. The Owls last match was away at Harford in which Prince George's recorded another shutout in the 2-0 win. The Dragons last match ended in a 2-1 loss against Hagerstown who the Owls defeated last week by a final score of 4-0.

Prince George's currently sits at the number four spot in MD JUCO rankings, with Howard right behind the Owls at the number five spot. The Owls are also one game ahead of the Dragons in NJCAA's Region XX Division III rankings . The Owls will look to use their home field advantage in protecting their standing atop Howard. Kickoff is set to begin at 3 p.m.
