Men's Soccer to Host CCBC Essex

Prince George's men's soccer faces another Maryland JUCO opponent tomorrow September 10th when CCBC Essex visits Prince George's campus in Largo, MD. The Knights (4-1-0, 3-0-0) defeated Anne Arundel's Riverhawks 6-0 over the weekend to maintain their perfect conference record.

The Owls (2-0-1, 1-0-1) last match was away at CCBC Catonsville which ended in a 1-1 tie after 110 minutes of play. The Owls took the lead in the second half with a goal from freshman Nathan Asamoah but were unable to hold on as they surrendered their first goal of the season which led to overtime. Prince George's was able to create four total shots through 2 periods of overtime but couldn't get past the goalkeeper. The Owls will need to have another strong performance from freshman goalkeeper Austin Geier who was named NJCAA's Division III Goalkeeper of the Week last week to quiet the Knights offensive attack and create opportunities for the Owls.

The match is set to begin at 3 p.m. at Prince George's Bermuda field in Largo, MD. Due to baseball field construction, visitors must park in Lot G and walk down to the soccer field. See attached campus map for further detail.
