Men's Soccer Heads to Catonsville

Prince George's Men's Soccer begins the first of nine consecutive games against Maryland JUCO opponents when they travel to Catonsville to face CCBC's Cardinals tomorrow, September 5th. The Cardinals (1-3-0, 0-1-0) have struggled to begin their season. Two of their losses have been by a single goal, one of which ended in double overtime last week against MD JUCO opponent Howard Community College.

On the other hand, the Owls (2-0-0, 1-0-0) have started their season strong. Last week Prince George's defeated NOVA's Nighthawks 1-0 to head into a heavy schedule of conference play that will stretch into October. The Owls came out on top at the end of a hard fought, physical game against NOVA which resulted in four yellow cards for Prince George's. The Owls will look to clean up their mistakes moving forward while maintaining their strong defensive play that has allowed only 11 shots through two games.

The last time the two teams met was last fall in Largo, Maryland when the Owls defeated the Cardinals 2-0 at home. The match is set to begin at 4 p.m.
