THE NEXT MATCH
 
  • Prince George's travels to Cecil College on Friday and then returns home for a crucial Region XX match against Northern Virginia Community College on Saturday.
  • The Largo team has won the last six games in the series against Cecil dating back to the 2012 season while the Owls have won the last five regular season contests against Northern Virginia.
  • Prince George's is 1-1-0 in region play with a 1-0 loss to Howard Community College and a 2-0 win against Anne Arundel Community College while the Nighthawks are 0-1-0 after falling 6-4 to Howard Community College. Northern Virginia still has matchups against Anne Arundel and Westmoreland County Community College on the schedule in region play.
  • Cecil comes into the match 1-10-0 overall and 0-8-0 in Maryland JUCO action.
  • Northern Virginia will be playing its second match on the PGCC Bermuda Field this season after ending in a 2-all standstill against Union County College on September 14. The Nighthawks are 4-3-1 overall and 0-1-0 in region action and will be playing for the first time in 12 days on Saturday.

  • Prince George's lost 4-2 to CCBC Essex on Wednesday. 
  • Freshman Ben Montague notched his seventh goal of the season and leads the team with seven tallies and 17 points.
  • Sophomore Moh Sherif notched his fifth goal on the year. He leads the team in assists (4) and ranks second in goals (5) and points (14) on the squad.
  • Freshman Aboubacarr Sinera made a career-high seven saves.
  • Despite the loss, the Owls have won five of their last seven and six of nine matches.
THE ROAD AHEAD
 
  • The squad ends the regular season with home games against Allegany College of Maryland (Tuesday) and Montgomery College (Oct. 19).
  • In the region standings, Howard Community College is finished with region play with a 3-1 mark. Anne Arundel Community College and Prince George's both sit at 1-1 while Northern Virginia and Westmoreland County Community College are 0-1 in region play. The Owls last region game is against Northern Virginia on Saturday while Anne Arundel and Northern Virginia still play each other and both have matches against Westmoreland County.
  • The Owls have posted a winning mark both at home and on the road in the last five years. The squad holds a 32-16-2 mark at home and 38-20-1 on the road dating back to the 2013 campaign.
  • The NJCAA Region XX Division III Tournament will be hosted by Howard Community College the week of Oct. 22-27.
