Prince George's Men's Soccer Moves To No. 10 In Latest NJCAA Division III Men's Soccer Rankings

LARGO, Md. – The Prince George's Community College men's soccer team is ranked 10th in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Men's Soccer Rankings announced on Tuesday.

The Owls went 1-1 in the week after defeating the College of Southern Maryland on Friday and dropping a heartbreaker in overtime 4-3 to Howard Community College on Oct. 3. Prince George's has been ranked in the national poll for the first six weeks of the regular season and the preseason poll. The squad has sat as high as sixth in the ranking in the preseason and Sept. 6 polls, eighth in the Sept. 12, Sept. 19 and Oct. 3 rankings, and ninth in the Sept. 26 poll before Tuesday's announcement.

The Top-7 spots remain the same with Richland continuing to be ranked as the top team in the nation with 10 points and are followed by Bunker Hill (9 points), Genesee (8 points), Herkimer (7 points), Montgomery (6 points), Triton (5 points), Camden County (4 points), Borough of Manhattan (3 points), Onondaga (3 points) and Prince George's (1 point) rounding out the 10-team field.

The Owls, who are in the midst of a four-game road trip to close out the season, travels to Montgomery on Tuesday. Match time is 4 p.m. at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Germantown, Md.
