2017 Men's Soccer Schedule

LARGO, Md. - The Prince George's 2017 men's soccer schedule has been released. The schedule features eight of the squad's first 12 matches at the PGCC Bermuda Soccer Field.

The Owls will open the season at home against Mercer County on Aug. 23. It will be the first time Prince George's has opened the season in Largo since 2013 and will mark the first meeting against Mercer County since a 1-0 victory in New Jersey in 2012.

The squad will then battle Nassau at the Soccerplex in the Germantown for the third-straight year on Sept. 3.

Prince George's starts Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (MD JUCO) play on the road at CCBC Essex on Sept. 8 and will travel to Chesapeake on Sept. 12 before returning home for the next four games.

The Owls will host Cecil (Sept. 15), Hagerstown (Sept. 19), Anne Arundel (Sept. 22) and Brookdale (Sept. 23) in this nine-day stretch including back-to-back games against Anne Arundel and Brookdale.

After traveling to Northern Virginia on Sept. 26, the Largo program comes home for its final two home games of the season against Frederick (Sept. 29) and Howard (Oct. 3). The match against Frederick will be the kickoff weekend the 50th Anniversary of Prince George's Athletics, A Celebration of the Past, Present And Future. 

Prince George's concludes the regular season with a four-game road trip at College of Southern Maryland (Oct. 6), at Montgomery (Oct. 10), at Allegany College of Maryland (Oct. 13) and at CCBC Catonsville (Oct. 17). The tilt against CCBC Catonsville will be played at CCBC Dundalk.

The Owls will then look to defend their National Junior College Athletic Conference (NJCAA) Division III Region XX title and earn a return trip to the NJCAA Division III Championships.

Last year, Prince George's defeated Montgomery 1-0 in the NJCAA Division III Region XX Championship Game to earn a trip to the NJCAA Division III Championships where the squad finished fifth in the national tournament.

The Owls finished the 2016 season 14-7-1 and 8-3 in MD JUCO play. Prince George's ranked in the NJCAA Division III Soccer Rankings for five weeks including finishing sixth in the last two polls.
