Owls Shutout #8 Ranked Potomac State and Earns Two Wins on the Weekend

Largo, MD. - The Owls men travelled to Allegany and Potomac State over the weekend and cruised passed their opponents by a final score of 7-0 and 6-0 respectively.

In the game on Saturday against Allegany, the Owls had a fast start and scored their first goal of the game with only 5 minutes played. Kelly Murah was credited with the goal and scored all four goals for the Owls in the first half. Ngeh Mbah chipped in with two goals and Rodrigo Hernandez had one to finalize the score.

The Owls second game of the weekend was against #8 ranked Potomac State College who were entering the game with a 2-1 record only losing to the #2 team in the country. 

Early in the game Potomac seemed to be a formidable opponent until the Owls broke the deadlock with 31 minutes played. Ngeh Mbah gave the Owls the lead with his first of the game in 31st minute. This gave the Owls the momentum and Angelo Ridore was able to score their second of the game less than a minute later, to finish the half with a 2-0 lead.

It only took the Owls 3 minutes in the second half to continue their offensive dominance with Jacob Bickley slotting one home from close range. The Owls then finished off Potomac State with 3 more goals. Getting on the score sheet was David Olabisi with two and Ngeh Mbah got his brace in the 60t minute.

The Owls next game will be against Hagerstown on Tuesday, September 15. Kickoff is set for 6:00 PM.
