Owls Drop two at Coliseum Kickoff Classic Hosted by Herkimer

Largo, MD. - The Owls men's soccer team had a slow start this weekend dropping two games to Genesee and nationally ranked #3 Herkimer County Community College by a score of 4-2 and 1-0 respectively. Both games were played at the Coliseum Kickoff Classic hosted by Herkimer this past weekend.
Freshman Angelo Ridore and sophomore transfer Jacob Bickley were able to get their first goals of the season for the Owls on Saturday in the 4-2 defeat against Genesee. Both goals were scored in the second half as the Owls tried to mount a comeback.
Sunday afternoon's game against the host Herkimer proved a better match up for the Owls. Both teams battled with almost identical statistics. Although The Generals had more corner kicks, the Owls held the advantage in shots. The only goal of the game came midway in the first half when the Generals were able to score on a counter attack.
The Owls will try to earn their first win on Friday, September 4th, when they face conference rivals Anne Arundel. Game time is set for 2:00 PM.
