  • Seventh-ranked Prince George's Community College falls 97-89 to Allegany College of Maryland in Maryland JUCO men's basketball action on Wednesday. With the loss, the Owls drops into a two-way tie with Harford Community College for third place in the circuit. Prince George's can clinch a Top-4 seed in the upcoming Maryland JUCO Tournament with a win against Chesapeake College on Saturday.
  • Alex Morales paced the Owls with 27 points and 15 rebounds. The sophomore shot 11-for-16 from the floor and 5 of 10 from the free throw line to notch his second-most points of the season. It was his eighth 20+ game this season and 13th of his career while he also has posted five games with at least 25 points in his career. Morales has posted a double-double 10 times in his last 11 games and has 15 double-doubles this season. It was the sixth time this season he reached 15+ rebounds and dished out at least five assists 14 times this year.
  • Tunde Scrivner added 21 points off the bench. The freshman has scored double figures in 21 of the 22 games this season and has six 20-point performances this season including four in his last six tilts.
  • Jordan Hicks also found double figures after finishing with 12 points. It was the sixth time this season Hicks has recorded 10 points in a game.
  • Moetaz Ashkar chipped in nine points in the loss.

  • Prince George's will begin its quest for its second Maryland JUCO title in three years on Friday, February 15. Opponent and time to be announced.
  • The Maryland JUCO Tournament semifinals are Saturday, February 16 and the championship game is Sunday, February 17.
  • Hagerstown will host the Maryland JUCO Tournament this year. 
  • The Owls will host the NJCAA Region XX Division III Tournament over the weekend of February 23-24. Prince George's will be the top seed in the tournament.
