  • Tunde Scrivner scored a career-high 32 points to power Prince George's Community College past Montgomery College 88-74 on Wednesday.
  • The freshman converted 12-for-20 of his shots from the floor, 4 of 6 from behind the arc and 4 of 7 from the free throw line to establish a new career high of 32 points and notch his second career 30-point game this season. The freshman registered 31 points against SUNY Sullivan on November 18. He has posted four 20-point games this season all at Novak Field House. Scrivner has reached double figures in each of his last four tilts after notching single digits against the College of Southern Maryland for the only time this year. Since that game, the freshman is averaging 20.3 points per game in his last four games. Scrivner ranks second on the team with 17.2 points per game.
  • Alex Morales did something for the first time at Novak Field House on Wednesday after finishing the game with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. The sophomore has three triple-doubles in his career, but the previous three took place in Western Maryland or Western Pennsylvania. In his last seven games, Morales has four double-doubles and three triple-doubles and is averaging 18.3 points, 11.9 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game in that stretch. For the year, he leads the team with 19.2 points and 11.4 rebounds per game.
  • Dexter Turner chipped in 12 points, eight assists and two steals. The sophomore reached double figures for the first time four games and has 12 games with at least 10 points this season and 13 in his career. Turner ranks seventh in NJCAA Division III in assists with 7.3 assists per game. He ranks third with 11.4 points per game.
  • The Owls are now 16-2 on the year and 7-2 in league play. They currently hold a Top-4 spot in the standings.
THE ROAD AHEAD
 
  • The Owls travel to Cecil College on Wednesday.
  • Prince George's will now have a two-game homestand toward the end the regular season with Chesapeake College on February 1 and Garrett College on February 2.
  • The Owls wrap up the regular season at Allegany (Md.) on February 6.
  • Hagerstown will host the Maryland JUCO Tournament this year.
  • Prince George's will also host the region tournament in February.
