  • After finishing the 2018 portion of the schedule 12-1, Prince George's begins its second half of the slate at home against College of Southern Maryland on Friday.
  • The Owls are looking for their first win in the series since a 96-84 decision on Jan. 8, 2014.
  • The Hawks have won the last four meetings in the series, including a 95-91 overtime win last season on the road. Two of the four games in this span have gone to overtime.
  • The College of Southern Maryland comes into the contest 7-9 overall and 3-3 in league play.

  • Prince George's defeated CCAC Allegheny 112-75 in NJCAA Region XX action on December 19.
  • Sophomore Alex Morales posted 18 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists to notch his second-straight triple-double and third of his career. The sophomore had 16 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists in an 86-46 victory against CCAC Boyce on Tuesday. He shot 7-for-10 from the floor, 1 of 3 from behind the arc and 3 of 3 from the charity stripe. Morales now has two triple-doubles and seven double-doubles this season and three triple-doubles and 18 double-doubles for his career. It marks the third time in his career that he has registered double figures in assists and the 21st time he has hauled in at least 10 boards in a game. The sophomore has posted double figures in all 13 games this season and 30 of the 38 games in his career. Morales leads the squad with 18.8 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.
  • Sophomore Dexter Turner posted 17 points, seven assists and four steals. The sophomore has reached double figures in points in each of his last seven games and is averaging 16.6 points per game in that span. The sophomore has 10 double-figure point games this season and 11 in his career. Turner is averaging 12.5 points and 7.2 assists per game this year.
  • Sophomore Dariel Medina notched a career-high 15 points thanks to connecting on all five of his shots from behind the arc. It was the sophomore's second double-figure point performance this season and fourth of his career. Freshman Tunde Scrivner posted 14 points. The freshman has scored double figures in all 13 games and ranks second on the team with 17.2 points per game.
  • Sophomores Darren Rivers and Jalen Robinson each registered 10 points. One day after grabbing 10 rebounds, Rivers reaches double figures in points for the fourth time in the last five games and sixth time in his career. The sophomore is averaging 10.6 points and 7.0 rebounds per game in his last five tilts. There must be something about a game before an upcoming holiday for Robinson, who scored 11 points at CCBC Dundalk in the game before Thanksgiving on Nov. 20.
THE ROAD AHEAD
 
  • Prince George's hits the road at Howard Community College on January 9. 
  • The Owls return home against Garrett College on January 12 before traveling to Baltimore City Community College on January 16.
  • The Largo team will then play four of its last six regular season games at home.
  • Prince George's regular season home schedule concludes against Chesapeake College on February 1.
