• Prince George's continues a five-game homestand with a Maryland JUCO clash with Frederick Community College on Wednesday in Largo.

THE LAST TILT

• Career afternoons by Dexter Turner, Moetaz Ashkar and Dariel Medina propelled the Owls past Westmoreland County Community College 128-72 on Saturday.
• Turner, who established a career-high with 17 points against Northern Virginia Community College on Tuesday, did not take long to set a new standard after connecting on 9 of 14 shots from the floor and 7 of 12 from behind the arc with even a couple that PGCC TV's Marshawn Powers would enjoy calling the shots from the parking lot to finish with a game-high 25 points. He continues to stuff the stat sheet with eight assists, four rebounds and two steals. The sophomore has posted double figures in three-straight games and has six 10-point games on the year and seven for his career. In addition, Turner has dished out at least six helpers in a game this season six times and is averaging 11.3 points and 7.3 assists per game in 2018-19.
• Ashkar was one point away from his career-best performance on Tuesday after finishing with 10 points against the Nighthawks. The sophomore's dominant performance on Saturday on both the offensive and defensive end handed him his first collegiate double-double with a career-high 14 points and 13 rebounds. Ashkar now has three career double-digit point games and one 10+ rebound game after smashing his previous career high of nine caroms against SUNY Sullivan on Nov. 18.
• Medina came off the bench to post his best scoring output since his collegiate debut when he had 11 points against Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology on Nov. 3, 2016. Medina registered a career-high 12 points, six assists and five rebounds. The sophomore notched his first double-digit game of 2018-19 and third of his career.
• Alex Morales posted a typical Alex Morales performance on the afternoon with 22 points, six assists, three steals and two rebounds. The sophomore is coming off a 24-point, 20-rebound, nine-assist performance that including the decisive rebound and point against Northern Virginia on Tuesday. Morales has registered four 20-point games this season and has nine in his career. The sophomore leads the team with 19.7 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. Tunde Scrivner also had a nice afternoon with 18 points, seven assists and seven steals against the Wolfpack. The assist and steal totals set a new career standard for Scrivner and marks the second time this season he has dished out at least six helpers. The sophomore has registered double figures in points in all nine games this season, including four games with at least 18 points. Scrivner ranks second on the team with 18.3 points per game. Darren Rivers notched his second career double-digit point game and narrowly missed his first collegiate double-double, finishing with 11 points and nine rebounds against Westmoreland County. Rivers established a career best with 12 points against Thaddeus Stevens in the season opener on Nov. 6.

THE ROAD AHEAD

• Butler County Community College wraps up the five-game home stretch with a game on Dec. 14.
• Prince George's Athletics will be holding a Toy Drive during its games against Frederick and Butler County. It will also hold an Ugly Sweater Contest during the doubleheader against Butler County.
• The Owls will then travel to Western Pennsylvania to face CCAC Boyce (Dec. 18) and CCAC Allegheny (Dec. 19) to close out the year 2018.
• The Largo team will play 11 of its final 17 regular games at Novak Field House in the regular season.
• Prince George's will also host the region tournament in February.
