  • Prince George's concludes its three-game road trip and opens Maryland JUCO play at Harford Community College on Tuesday.
  • The last time the Owls defeated the Fighting Owls was in the Maryland JUCO Tournament semifinals in 2017. Sophomores Moetaz Ashkar, Dariel Medina, Alex Morales and Dexter Turner were all apart of that victory.
  • Prince George's will be looking for its first win against Harford in the regular season since a 93-90 win in 2015-16.
  • The Largo program will be looking to start league play 1-0 for the first time since the 2016-17 campaign.
  • Prince George's was 6-8 in Maryland JUCO last year including 4-3 on the road.
THE LAST TILT
 
  • Prince George's improved to 3-0 on the year with a couple of key Region XX Division III wins at the McDonald's Basketball Tip-Off Tournament hosted by Garrett College over the weekend. The Owls defeated Pennsylvania Highlands Community College 81-60 on Friday and then won 85-68 against CCAC Allegheny on Saturday afternoon.
  • Sophomore Alex Morales posted 18 points and 15 rebounds against Pennsylvania Highlands and 29 points, 17 rebounds, eight assists and seven steals against CCAC Allegheny. The sophomore has recorded a double-double in each of his first three games and is averaging 23.3 points, 14.0 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 5.0 steals per game in his first week of action in 2018-19. Morales posted his 21st career double-figure game and seventh 20-point performance while also hauling in 10+ rebounds for the 17th time and recording his 14th career double-double.
  • Freshman Tunde Scrivner continues to have success off the bench after posting 12 points on Friday and 15 points on Saturday. The freshman is averaging 14.0 points per game this season.
  • Sophomore Dexter Turner notched his first career double-double with 14 points and 10 assists against Pennsylvania Highlands and then handed out 10 dimes against CCAC Allegheny. Turner is averaging 8.0 points per game and has dished out 18 assists in three games.
  • Freshman Miles Weaver continues to do his damage from long distance, notching double figures in points for the third-straight game with 11 points. The freshman has posted 30 of his 34 points from behind the arc and is averaging 11.3 points per game.
THE ROAD AHEAD
 
  • Prince George's returns home for six of the next seven games, starting with SUNY Sullivan on Sunday.
  • After the contest against the Generals, the Owls will travel to CCBC Dundalk on Nov. 22.
  • Hagerstown Community College (Nov. 28), Northern Virginia Community College (Dec. 4), Westmoreland County Community College (Dec. 8), Frederick Community College (Dec. 12) and Butler County Community College (Dec. 14) will come to town during a five-game homestand after Thanksgiving.
  • Prince George's Athletics will be holding a Toy Drive during its games on against Westmoreland County, Frederick and Butler County. It will also hold an Ugly Sweater Contest during the doubleheader against Butler County.
  • The Owls will then travel to Western Pennsylvania to face CCAC Boyce (Dec. 18) and CCAC Allegheny (Dec. 19) to close out the year 2018.
