Prince George's Men's Basketball Continues Hot Start With 85-68 Win Against CCAC Allegheny

McHENRY, Md. – Behind a near triple-double by Alex Morales (Paterson, N.J./Manchester Regional), Prince George's men's basketball leaves the McDonald's Basketball Tip-Off Tournament 3-0 on the season and with two key wins in National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XX Division III action after defeating CCAC Allegheny 85-68 on Saturday.

Morales finished with 29 points, 17 rebounds, eight assists, seven steals and one block. The sophomore has recorded a double-double in each of his first three games and is averaging 23.3 points, 14.0 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 5.0 steals per game in his first week of action in 2018-19. Morales posted his 21st career double-figure game and seventh 20-point performance while also hauling in 10+ rebounds for the 17th time and recording his 14th career double-double.

Tunde Scrivner (Washington, D.C./H.D. Woodson) continues to be impressive off the bench in his first three games, adding 15 points, three steals and three rebounds on Saturday. The freshman has posted 15 points twice this season after also reaching the mark in the season opener on Tuesday and is averaging 14.0 points per game this season.

Jordan Hicks (Largo, Md./Henry Wise) notched double digits in points for the second time in three games thanks to a 12-point effort against CCAC Allegheny. The freshman scored a career-high 16 points against Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology and is averaging 10.0 points per game this season.

Miles Weaver (Alexandria, Va./Takoma Academy) continues to do his damage from long distance, notching double figures in points for the third-straight game with 11 points. The freshman has posted 30 of his 34 points from behind the arc and is averaging 11.3 points per game.

For the second-straight contest, Dexter Turner (Washington, D.C./Idea Public Charter), dished out 10 assists in a game and now has 28 dimes on the year. Darren Rivers (District Heights, Md./DuVal) added seven points and eight rebounds for the Owls (3-0) in the winning effort.

Prince George's returns to action and opens Maryland JUCO play at Harford on Tuesday. Game time is 7 p.m.
