THE NEXT MATCH
 
  • Prince George's faces its first road test of the season at the McDonald's Garrett Tipoff Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
  • The Owls will be playing a pair of key NJCAA Region XX Division III opponents that will set up the seeding for the region tournament at the end of the year hosted by Prince George's Community College. The Largo program opens the tournament against Pennsylvania Highlands Community College on Friday and then will face CCAC Allegheny on Saturday.
  • It will be the only meeting against Pennsylvania Highlands in the regular season while the Owls will travel to CCAC Allegheny on Dec. 19, but only the first meeting on the year counts toward the seeding process.
  • Prince George's has played each team dating back to the 2012-13 season and has won all six meetings against both programs in that stretch.
  • The entire tournament will be streamed through Garrett College's You Tube Channel (links above). There will not be live stats for the games, but we will update you with information when provided.
THE LAST TILT
 
  • Prince George's opened the season under new head coach William West with a 100-92 victory against Thaddeus Stevens on Tuesday.
  • Sophomore Alex Morales finished with 20 points thanks to a 9-for-13 shooting from the field, 1 of 2 from behind the arc and 1 of 4 from the charity stripe evening. He added a Lebron James-esq day with 10 rebounds, six assists, three steals and two blocks to stuff the stat sheet. Morales posted his 19th career double-figure game and sixth 20-point performance while also hauling in 10+ rebounds for the 15th time and recording his 12th career double-double.
  • Freshman Jordan Hicks posted 16 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals while fellow freshman Tunde Scrivner added 15 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block in collegiate debut. 
  • Sophomore Darren Rivers notched his first career 10+-point game with 12 points to along with six rebounds.
  • Sophomore Dexter Turner added 10 points, eight assists and four rebounds. Morales, Turner, Dariel Medina and Moetaz Ashkar each sat out the 2017-18 season after leading the Owls to the Maryland JUCO Tournament title and a spot in the NJCAA Region XX Division III championship game in 2016-17. 
THE ROAD AHEAD
 
  • After the tournament, the Owls will travel to Harford Community College on Tuesday.
  • Prince George's then returns home for six of the next seven games.
  • The Owls will host SUNY Sullivan on Nov. 18 and then will travel to CCBC Dundalk two days later.
  • Hagerstown Community College (Nov. 28), Northern Virginia Community College (Dec. 4), Westmoreland County Community College (Dec. 8), Frederick Community College (Dec. 12) and Butler County Community College (Dec. 14) will come to town during a five-game homestand after Thanksgiving.
  • Prince George's Athletics will be holding a Toy Drive during its games on against Westmoreland County, Frederick and Butler County. It will also hold an Ugly Sweater Contest during the doubleheader against Butler County.
