Prince George's Men's Basketball Drops Maryland JUCO Contest To Southern Maryland In Overtime, 95-91

LA PLATA, Md. – Prince George's Community College lost in overtime 95-91 to the College of Southern Maryland in Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (MD JUCO) men's basketball action on Sunday.

Mykal Johnson (Seat Pleasant, Md./Charles H. Flowers) paced the Owls (13-10, 4-7 MD JUCO) with 20 points and 10 rebounds. The sophomore shot 5-for-10 from the floor, 1 of 3 from behind the arc and 9 of 12 from the free throw line.  Johnson reached 20 points for the 10th time this season, the second-straight game and fourth time in the last six tilts. He also notched his sixth double-double in his last seven games and seven of his career.

For the second-straight contest, freshman Shiloh Beale (Waldorf, Md./St. Charles) notched a career-high after posting 19 points on Sunday afternoon. Beale registered a then career-best 18 points against Baltimore City on Friday. The freshman has scored double figures five times in 2017-18 and three times in the last five tilts. He also added five rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block.

Kennith Ford (Forestville, Md./Friendship Collegiate) recorded 15 points while James Hagins (Roanoke, Va./William Fleming) tallied 12 points and 10 rebounds in the loss. Ford has posted double figures in 19 of the 22 games this season while Hagins reached double figures for the 11th time this season and his sixth double-double on the year.

AJ Perdomo (Landover, Md./Parkdale) added a career-high eight points.

Prince George's closes out the road portion of the regular season at Hagerstown Community College on Wednesday. Game time is 7 p.m.
