Prince George's Men's Basketball Upended By No. 10 Frederick, 72-66

FREDERICK, Md. – Prince George's Community College falls 72-66 to No. 10 Frederick Community College in Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (MD JUCO) men's basketball action on Wednesday.

James Hagins (Roanoke, Va./William Fleming) paced the Owls (13-8, 4-5 MD JUCO) with 10 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks. The sophomore shot 4-for-5 from the floor and 2 of 2 from the free throw line. Hagins notched his 10th double-figure point performance this season and 12th of his career. It was also his 10th double-digit rebound game and 12th of his career while Hagins posted his seventh career double-double.

Brian Ferguson (Olney, Md./James H. Blake) added a career-high 11 points and five rebounds while Mykal Johnson (Seat Pleasant, Md./Charles H. Flowers) posted 11 points and six boards on the night. Ferguson registered his first career 10-point performance while Johnson reached double figures for the 46th time in 51 contests.

Kennith Ford (Forestville, Md./National Collegiate Prep) chipped in nine points and eight rebounds in the loss.

Frederick took a 35-25 lead going into the locker room while Prince George's outscored the Cougars 41-37 in the second half.

The Owls return to action on Friday when they host Baltimore City Community College. Game time is 7 p.m.
