Stone's 21 Points Helps Prince George's Men's Basketball Edge St. Mary's JV, 68-66

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – Gus Stone (Baltimore, Md./North County) scored 21 points to power Prince George's Community College 66-64 past St. Mary's JV in men's basketball action on Thursday.

Stone shot 9-for-14 from the floor and 3 of 7 to finish with 21 points. It was the sophomore's 11th 20-point game this season and fourth in his last five games.

Kennith Ford (Forrestville, Md./National Collegiate Prep) added 15 points for the Owls (11-5) while Mykal Johnson (Seat Pleasant, Md./Charles H. Flowers) stuffed the stat sheet with 12 points, six rebounds and five assists. James Hagins (Roanoke, Va./William Fleming) registered four points, 12 rebounds and four blocks in the winning effort.

The two teams went into the locker room tied at 28 and then Prince George's edged St. Mary's by two points in the second half with a score of 38-36 to earn the victory.

The Owls return to action on Friday, January 5 at Anne Arundel Community College. Tipoff is 7 p.m.
