Prince George's Men's Basketball Announces 2017-18 Schedule

LARGO, Md. – Prince George's Community College men's basketball head coach Brian Johnson has announced his 2017-18 schedule. The 26-game slate is highlighted by 11 games at Novak Field House, including a four-game homestand at the end of November and the first half of the month of December.

This season the Prince George's Athletics Department is celebrating 50 Years, A Celebration of the Past, Present And Future. During the men's soccer season, the Owls unveiled gold uniforms to commemorate the 50th Anniversary. The men's basketball team will unveil its gold jersey on Dec. 6 against CCBC Catonsville on Alumni Appreciation Night. The night will be dedicated to any Prince George's alumni that would like to come to the game. There will be a special giveaway and free admission to any alumni that pre-registers for the event. The gold jerseys will be worn throughout the rest of the season after the Dec. 6 unveiling against CCBC Catonsville.

In addition, Prince George's will host Howard on Jan. 17 for Kid's Night Out. During this game, any students of the Prince George's County Public School system will be admitted to the game for free with a special giveaway given to any student that pre-registers for the event. The Owls will open the season at home for the third-straight campaign when the University of Maryland Club team comes to town on Nov. 1.

Prince George's will participate in the Patrick Henry Tournament and face host Patrick Henry and Pitt in the two-day event on Nov. 4-5.

The squad returns home to host Pennsylvania Highlands on Nov. 8 and Allegany College of Maryland on Nov. 15 to open up Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference play.

After a trip to Western Pennsylvania to battle Butler County (Nov. 17) and Westmoreland County (Nov. 18), the Largo team will come home for a four-game homestand against Cecil (Nov. 29), Potomac State (Dec. 2), Davidson County (Dec. 3) and CCBC Catonsville (Dec. 6).

The Owls travel to Chesapeake on Dec. 14 before come home to host CCAC Allegheny on Dec. 16. The squad wraps up play for 2016 with a road tilts at Montgomery (Dec. 20) and at St. Mary's JV.

Prince George's opens the New Year at Anne Arundel on Jan. 5 before welcoming Baltimore City to town on Jan. 10. After a road game at Garrett on Jan. 13, the team will host Howard on Jan. 17.

Prince George's then hits the road for four games at the College of Southern Maryland (Jan. 19), Northern Virginia (Jan. 22), Frederick (Jan. 24) and Hagerstown (Jan. 31).

The Owls come home to close out the regular season against CCBC Dundalk (Feb. 2) and Harford (Feb. 7).

Prince George's will host the Maryland JUCO Tournament on Feb. 15-18 and will head to Westmoreland County for the National Junior College Athletic Association Region XX Tournament on Feb. 23-25.
