David "Buddy" Foster begins his seventh season as the Prince George's baseball head coach in 2018.

Foster has helped the Owls to the NJCAA Division III Region XX Tournament championship and trips to the NJCAA Division III World Series in two of the past four seasons and the Largo program has advanced to the NJCAA Division III Region XX Tournament championship game in four of his first six seasons. Last season, Foster guided the Owls to one of its best seasons in program history with a 33-15-1 record and captured the NJCAA Division III Region XX Tournament title, the NJCAA District D crown and the squad's second trip to the NJCAA Division III World Series in the last four seasons. Foster, who earned his 100th career win during the NJCAA District D Championship, was named the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Diamond National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III District D Regional Coach Of The Year for the second time in his career. Brandon Crosby was named an NJCAA first-team All-American while Dakota McFadden garnered NJCAA second-team All-American recognition. Five players were named to the All-NJCAA Division III Region XX team and Crosby and McFadden were both named to the All-Maryland JUCO team.

Foster and the Owls won their first NJCAA Division III Region XX title and advanced to the NJCAA Division III World Series in 2014. He also garnered ABCA/Diamond NJCAA Division III District D Regional Coach of the Year in 2014.

Foster joined Prince George's coaching staff in 2009 as the pitching coach and was promoted to head coach for the 2012 campaign.
