Top Moments Bracket: Round Of 16 - Voting Ends On Wednesday at 4 P.M.

Welcome to the 2016-17 Prince George's Athletics Top Moments Bracket and the Round of 16. For the next two days, fans can vote on the bracket-style polls below with the winners moving onto the Topflight 8 on Thursday and Friday. Fans can also vote on Facebook by typing their choices in the comment box or via Twitter by tweeting your selections with the hashtag #owltopmoments16 to @PGCCOWLS. Voting for the Round of 16 ends at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

#16 Women's Basketball scores 103 points vs. #1 Men's Soccer Goes to Nationals

#16 Women's Basketball scores 103 points
The Owls scored 103 points against Pennsylvania Highlands on Nov. 29. The squad posted 28 points in the first quarter, 25 points in the second quarter and then registered 30 points and 20 points in the third and fourth quarters. Prince George's had six players in double figures in the game and two players with double-doubles.

#1 Men's Soccer Goes To Nationals
Prince George's defeated Anne Arundel 4-1 in the semifinals and Montgomery 1-0 in the NJCAA Division III Region XX Championship to claim the team's first region title since 2009. The Owls then went 1-1 at the NJCAA Division III Championships with a 2-0 loss against Camden County and a 4-1 victory against Bristol to finish fifth in the national tournament.

#15 Men's Basketball Starts Season 7-1 vs. #2 Baseball Goes to the World Series

#15 Men's Basketball Starts Season 7-1
Under the direction of first-year head coach Brian Johnson, the Owls started the season winning seven of its first eight games of the season. The squad scored at least 75 points in the seven victories including four 80-point games and a 90-point performance. Prince George's lone loss in this stretch came in overtime.

#2 Baseball Goes to the World Series
Prince George's returned to the NJCAA Division III World Series for the second time in four years after winning both the NJCAA Division III Region XX Tournament and the NJCAA Division III District D Championship. The Owls defeated Butler County 6-5 and Montgomery 8-7 and 6-5 to win the region title and then took two of three from Surry to earn a trip to the World Series. Prince George's lost to eventual national champion Tyler and Delta at the World Series.

#14 Men's Track wins 4x800m relay vs. #3 Men's Basketball wins Maryland JUCO Tournament

#14 Men's Track wins 4x800m relay
The men's relay team of Ari Wilson, Baladji Diakite, Christy-Morel Andjalepou and Edwin Brown III finished second in the 4x400m relay, but that was not a shock. The quartet also participated in the 4x800m relay, an event that the foursome had never run together this season. They not only did well in the finals but finished third to earn a spot on the medal stand.

#3 Men's Basketball wins Maryland JUCO Tournament
The Maryland JUCO is comprised of NJCAA Division I, II and III programs in the Old Line State with Prince George's currently sitting in the Division III ranks. The Owls opened the tournament with an 81-71 win against Garrett. The squad then squeaked out a 70-68 win against Harford in the semifinals with the decisive points coming in the final minute of the game. Facing its second-straight NJCAA Division I opponent in the championship game, Prince George's defeated Baltimore City 63-62 thanks to a basket with six seconds left.

#13 Men's Soccer defeats nationally ranked opponent vs. #4 Brandon Crosby leads nation in steals, earns NJCAA First-Team All-American honors

#13 Men's Soccer defeats nationally ranked opponent
What a way to start the season. The Owls were battling No. 8 Bergen in the season opener and battled the nationally-ranked opponent to a scoreless standstill through 90 minutes. Prince George's broke through eight minutes into the extra session when Alton West found the back of the net off a feed by Fabian Castillo for the 1-0 victory.

#4 Brandon Crosby leads nation in steals and earns NJCAA First-Team All-American status
Crosby paced the team in hits (81), runs (71), stolen bases (45), batting average (.440) and on-base percentage (.527). He ranked third on the squad in RBIs (49), third in doubles (17), third in triples (2) and fourth in slugging percentage (.620). The freshman paced NJCAA Division III in steals and ranked fourth in stolen bases for all NJCAA divisions while also ranking eighth in Division III in runs.

#12 Baseball rallies for seven wins in their last offensive inning
The baseball team had an exciting season and had the ability to come back to win games. The Owls scored the game-winning run in either their last at-bat or their last offensive inning seven times on the year. While Prince George's rallied for a doubleheader sweep against nationally -ranked Frederick, the biggest comeback was in the NJCAA Division III Region XX Tournament. Trailing 5-0 in the bottom of the ninth, the Owls scored five runs in the inning to tie the game and then won in the 10th on Ryan Faircloth's walk-off base hit.

#5 Mary Foday named two-time All-American
Foday posted her best time and won the 200m dash that featured 10 NCAA Division I athletes at the Delaware Classic, but she did not stop there. The freshman finished second in the 200m dash at the NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track And Field Championships to earn NJCAA Division III Second-Team All-American status. She then finished third in the 100m dash to earn NJCAA Division III Honorable Mention All-American honors.

#11 Women's Basketball advances to NJCAA Division III Region XX Championship Game vs. #6 Edwin Claros named NJCAA Division III Second-Team All-American

#11 Women's Basketball advances to NJCAA Division III Region XX Championship Game
The women's basketball team had a nice stretch during the regular season after winning 10 of 17 games midway through the year. The Owls then returned to the NJCAA Division III Region XX Championship Game for the third time in four years. Prince George's defeated Butler County 62-57 in the semifinals and played a great hard-fought game against Montgomery in the championship game.

#6 Edwin Claros named NJCAA Division III Second-Team All-American
Claros paced the team in goals (17), assists (9), points and shots (70) to earn NJCAA Division III Second-Team All-American honors. He posted five multi-goal games, including two hat tricks on the year. He ranked in the Top-15 in NJCAA Division III in both goals and points.

#7 Academic Success vs. #10 Ashley Wilson named NJCAA Division III Honorable Mention All-American honors

#7 Academic Success - While we are proud of our accomplishments on the playing surface and awards, we also had success in the classroom. Prince George's had three student-athletes named to the NJCAA Division III All-American Academic team. Women's basketball's Gina Seifert was selected to the first team after boasting a 4.0 grade-point average. Women's basketball's Lisa Seifert was named to the second team and men's soccer's Calvin Tabetah garnered third team honors. Eight student-athletes were named to the Maryland JUCO All-Academic team and seven earned NJCAA Region XX All-Academic team honors.

#10 Ashley Wilson earns NJCAA Division III Honorable Mention All-American status
After being delayed a day due to the weather, Wilson was able to finish third in the triple jump at the NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships thanks to her leap of 10.18m on her second jump to earn NJCAA Division III Honorable Mention All-American status.

#9 Alex Morales earns NJCAA Division III Honorable Mention All-American status vs. #8 Asisha Greene named NJCAA Division III Third-Team All-American

#9 Alex Morales named NJCAA Division III Honorable Mention All-American
Morales ranked second on the team with 13.8 points and a team-best 9.9 rebounds per game and shot 46.9 percent from the field. The Patterson, N.J., native averaged 19.7 points and 11.3 rebounds per game in the Maryland JUCO Tournament, including registering 22 points and 11 rebounds in an 81-71 victory against Garrett Community College in the quarterfinals on Feb. 17 and 20 points and 17 rebounds against Baltimore City in the title bout. Morales posted double figures in points 18 times this season, including five 20-point performances.  

#8  Asisha Greene named NJCAA Division III Third-Team All-American honors
Greene paced the team with 21.4 points and 8.0 rebounds per game this season after scoring double-figures in every game, including 15 20-point performances and three 30-point games. The nation's capital native notched a career-high 38 points against Roxbury Community College on Dec. 4 and recorded 31 points in a 75-40 win against Allegany College of Maryland and 31 points in the NJCAA Division III Region XX championship game against Montgomery on Feb. 26. Greene also added nine games in double digits in rebounds to post nine double-doubles on the season.
