Prince George's Baseball Doubleheader Against Chesapeake Cancelled

LARGO, Md. – The Prince George's baseball doubleheader at Chesapeake, originally scheduled for Saturday at 12 p.m. at the J. Marion Bryan Field in Wye Mills, Md., has been cancelled.

The Owls finished the regular season 28-12-1 overall and 12-11-1 in Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference action, but will now turn their attention to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III Region XX Tournament on May 12-14. Prince George's will be the No. 1 seed and host for the three-day double-elimination tournament. The Largo team will be looking for its fourth Region XX title and its first since the 2014 campaign.

Prince George's has been ranked in the NJCAA Division III Baseball Rankings in four of the last five weeks, including sitting in the No. 8 spot for the last two polls. The Owls have gone 18-7 in its last 25 games and posted a perfect 6-0 mark in region games.
