Largo, MD. - The baseball team has shown promise in the early stages of the season by knocking off top conference opponents in convincing fashion. Currently, the team is 3-1 in conference play, has an 8-4 overall record and have played 12 straight road games to start the season.

In their first conference game of the season, the Owls cruised by the Riverhawks with a 15-2 victory. In their last three contest, the Owls were able to split a pair against top ranked Frederick over the weekend. They followed this performance with an impressive 12-2 win over CCBC Dundalk on Tuesday, March 15.

After playing their first month on the road, the team will play their next 10 games at home. Players and coaches a like, believes that this early momentum will continue to drive confidence into a team that seems to get better on a daily basis. They also believe that this stretch of games will best prepare them for the tougher half of the conference schedule that lies ahead.

The Owls next game and home opener will be against another top conference rival in CCBC Essex on Thursday, March 17, 2016. Start time is set for 3:00 PM.
