Owl's Baseball Inks Two local players to for the 2016 Season

The Owls baseball program as officially signed Thomas Mason III who will graduate from Henry Wise high school in May 2015. Thomas will add a lot of depth to the team, he his a 5'8" 185lb (2B) that has a compact and strong frame. Defensively, he is active around the ball and shows good lateral footwork and quickness with a strong arm. Offensively, he has a balanced approach with a short line drive middle/away swing on a level plane and has great speed. Thomas joins the Owls with a career high school batting average of .468 and OBP of .545.

In addition, the Owls inked Conor Craig who is transferring from Potomac State College and is a former graduate from Bowie High School. Conor is a 6'2' 200lb left hand pitcher that has good backside drive with good arm speed and throws his fast ball in the mid 80's. He also throws a hammer curve ball that will be tough for both right and left handed batters. Conor has a career high school record for the Bulldog's of 12-2 with 107 K's in 71 innings pitched and held his opponents to a .165 batting average.
