Former Owls Stand Out Dale Davis Signs with the Texas Rangers

Largo, Md. – Prince George’s Community College is very proud to announce that former baseball stand out, Dale Davis, has signed to play professional baseball with the Texas Rangers.

Dale signed his contract at the Maximum Development Sports Academy, where he recently participated in the Maximum Development Sports Academy Pro Day. At least a dozen scouts from 10 Major League Baseball teams attended the event in Nassau, Bahamas. The Texas Rangers was the team to see Dale as a good prospect and made an offer.

Dale is originally from Nassau, Bahamas, but started his collegiate baseball career at Prince George's Community College, where he played 2 seasons. He earned NJCAA Division III All-Region XX First Team as a freshman. He led the nation with stolen bases as a sophomore with 63 in 37 games and a 96.9 stolen base percentage. During his career representing the Owls (2011 and 2012), he played in 70 games, had a .421 BA with 71 runs scored and 109 stolen bases in 111 attempts.

Dale transferred to Bluefield State College after his 2 years at Prince George’s as a junior transfer. He finished his senior year at Bluefield State as the starting center fielder. For his career at BSC (2 years), he finished with a .371 BA, 110 hits, 69 runs scored, 22 doubles, 10 triples, 2 homeruns, 51 RBI's, 10 walks, and had 37 stolen bases out of 44 attempts. He received All-Region during his junior year and All-ICAA during his senior year.
