CCBC Catonsville Cardinals vs Prince George’s Community College game recap

On Saturday March 30th the CCBC Catonsville Cardinals hosted Prince George's Community College in a double header. In the second game the cardinals would dominate the Owls as they won 11-5 as they are now on a nine-game winning streak. 

In the first inning the Owls would score one, but the Cardinals would match that with one of their own as Tank Kelley (Winter Park) got hit by a pitch then procced to steal second then he would steal third and with a bad throw by the catcher it allows Kelley score. 

In the second inning, the Cardinals gave up three runs in the top half of the inning but in the bottom half they would score two. With a leadoff double by Elijah Charlot (University Christian) and a walk by Eric McLaughlin (Belleview) Alex Valdez (Blair) singled down the left line which allowed Charlot to score from second then Noah Milum (Scotland Campus) hit a sacrifice fly to score McLaughlin from third. This would make the score 4-3 Owls.  

But in the third and fourth inning the Cardinals offense started to get into a grove as in those innings they scored four in each of them. In the third Tyler Sankovich (Laurel Highlands) started off the inning with a double down the right field then Trenton Snyder (Oak Park) hit a two-run home run to left field. Later in the inning, after Elijah Charlot reached on fielder's choice and an Eric McLaughlin single, Alex Valdez produced another single that scored Charlot from second, then a wild pitch would score McLaughlin from third. In the fourth Trenton Snyder would hit his second homerun of the game then after three straight walks Alex Valdez came up clutch with a bases clearing triple to give the Cardinals a 11-4 lead. 

In the seventh inning after four scoreless innings from Liam Karey (Boys Latin) and Joel Tapia (Freedom) the owls would go to score one run, but it wouldn't be enough as the cardinals would win 11-5 and that would be their ninth win a row and the cardinals would improve their record to 16-9 and 9-0 in region XX play.
