History of Prince George's Community College Athletics
Prince George's Community College athletics started with a men's basketball program when the college was housed at Suitland High School in Upper Marlboro, Md. in the late 1950s-early 1960s. When the college moved to its current location on the Largo campus in 1968 the athletic department expanded to add sports that included at one point baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's bowling, golf, softball and men's and women's track and field. The athletic department currently sponsors baseball, men's and women's basketball, softball, men's soccer, and men's and women's track and field.
